Method
 

  1. Season the sirloin steak with chili powder, cumin, garlic salt, and black pepper. Drizzle with vegetable oil and squeeze the juice from one lime half over the steak.
  2. Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for 3-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
  3. While the steak rests, spread refried beans on the bottom half of each toasted roll. Top with mayonnaise, shredded cheese, sliced tomatoes, and shredded lettuce.
  4. Arrange the sliced steak over the lettuce. Add any optional toppings like avocado, onions, or jalapeños.
  5. Place the top half of the roll on each torta and serve immediately.
