Vegetables
  • 1 pound fresh green beans trimmed
  • 1.5 pounds baby potatoes halved or quartered
Flavoring
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning blend
  • 3 teaspoons melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon bacon fat reserved from cooking bacon
Seasoning and Garnish
  • 1 Fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water for 10 to 12 minutes until they are fork tender. Drain the potatoes and set them aside.
  2. Boil green beans for 5 to 7 minutes until they are crisp-tender. Drain the green beans and set them aside.
  3. Fry the bacon until it is crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet, crumble it, and reserve 1 tablespoon of the bacon fat.
  4. Mix the minced garlic, ranch seasoning, and melted butter together in a small bowl.
  5. Add the cooked potatoes and green beans to the skillet with the reserved bacon fat. Toss the vegetables with the ranch butter mixture and the crumbled bacon.
  6. Season the mixture with salt and pepper. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve the dish warm.
