Ingredients

For the Cream Layer
  • 8 oz Cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 cups Heavy cream whipped to stiff peaks
For the Berry Layers
  • 2 cups Fresh strawberries sliced
  • 2 cups Fresh blueberries
  • 1 box Pound cake cut into 1-inch cubes

Equipment

  • Large glass bowl
  • Mixing bowls
  • Whisk
  • Spatula

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  2. Gently fold the whipped heavy cream into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
  3. In a large glass bowl, create the first layer by spreading half of the pound cake cubes on the bottom.
  4. Top the pound cake with half of the sliced strawberries and half of the blueberries.
  5. Spread half of the cream mixture evenly over the berries.
  6. Repeat the layers: add the remaining pound cake cubes, followed by the remaining strawberries and blueberries.
  7. Finish with the remaining cream mixture, spreading it evenly to cover the top layer of berries.
  8. Cover the trifle and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

You can substitute other berries like raspberries or blackberries. For a sweeter cream layer, add more powdered sugar to taste.
