Ingredients

For the Steak Bites
  • 1.5 lbs Sirloin steak cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
For the Potatoes
  • 1.5 lbs Baby potatoes halved or quartered
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
Optional Garnish
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley chopped

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Cutting board
  • Knife

Method

  1. In a large bowl, toss the steak cubes with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper. Set aside.
  2. In the same bowl, toss the potatoes with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 0.5 teaspoon of salt, and 0.25 teaspoon of black pepper.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned potatoes to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and browned.
  4. Push the potatoes to one side of the skillet. Add the seasoned steak bites to the empty side of the skillet. Sear the steak bites for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
  5. Stir the steak bites and potatoes together in the skillet. Cook for another minute to combine flavors.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

You can adjust the cooking time for the steak to your preferred level of doneness. For crispier potatoes, ensure they are in a single layer in the skillet and do not overcrowd it.
