Ingredients
  

For the Au Jus
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1-2 tablespoons dry red wine
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
From Prime Rib
  • 1 cup drippings from prime rib from a class Prime Rib Recipe or Smoked Prime Rib or Grilled Prime Rib

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Roasting pan

Method
 

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Make sure to include all the bits and juices from the bottom of your roasting pan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer.
  3. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce has reduced by about one-quarter.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool. After cooling, scrape off any floating fat.
  5. Serve with your favorite prime rib recipe.
