Ingredients
  

For the Sandwiches
  • 1 dozen buns or rolls
  • 1/2 to 3/4 lb. thinly sliced meat
  • 12 slices cheese
For the Sauce
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 Tbs. honey or brown sugar
  • 1 Tbs. mustard
  • 1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbs. poppy seeds

  • Glass measuring cup
  • Baking pan

Method
 

  1. Assemble sandwiches by layering your choice of meat and cheese on buns or rolls.
  2. Place assembled sandwiches in a baking pan.
  3. In a small saucepan or glass measuring cup, mix all ingredients for the sauce. Boil or microwave until the butter is melted.
  4. Pour the sauce over the sandwiches.
  5. Sprinkle poppy seeds over the sandwiches.
  6. You can bake the sandwiches now, or refrigerate them for several hours, even overnight.
  7. Bake at 350ºF for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are brown and the cheese is melted. Cover loosely with foil if you prefer less browning.
