Method
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5–7 minutes. Remove sausage from the skillet and set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- In the same skillet, add chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir in the pasta. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the pasta is al dente, about 10–12 minutes.
- Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet with the pasta. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and simmer for 2–3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
- Return the cooked sausage to the skillet. Toss everything together to coat the pasta and sausage with the sauce. Cook for 1–2 minutes more.
- Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley or basil, and extra red pepper flakes if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
This recipe is a great base for customization. Feel free to add your favorite vegetables like broccoli florets or bell peppers along with the pasta.
