  • 4 (6- to 8-oz.) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1" strips
  • 1 to taste Kosher salt
  • 1 to taste Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
For Serving
  • 8 corn tortillas, warmed
  • 1 Sour cream
  • 1 thinly sliced red onion
  • 1 finely chopped tomatoes
  • 1 shredded Monterey Jack
  • 1 finely chopped avocados
  • 1 finely chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 lime wedges

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, about 6 minutes.
  2. Add chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, cayenne, and paprika. Cook, stirring and adding more oil if mixture is too dry, until coated, about 1 minute more.
  3. Divide chicken among tortillas, then top with desired toppings.
