Thanksgiving Veggie Tray

Ingredients
  

For the Turkey Face
  • 2 red bell pepper one for the head, one for the beak
  • 1 baby carrot for the beak
  • 1/4 yellow bell pepper for the wattle
  • 2 candy eyeballs
For the Veggie Tray
  • 1 crown broccoli cut into florets
  • 2 cups baby carrots
  • 2 cucumbers sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas
For Serving
  • 1 dip your favorite

Equipment

  • Large platter
  • Small bowl for dip

Method
 

  1. Prepare the turkey face: Cut the bottom off of one red bell pepper. Use a baby carrot for the beak. Place a piece of yellow bell pepper under the beak for the wattle. Add candy eyeballs.
  2. Gather and prep your vegetables. Wash and cut them into easy-to-grab sizes.
  3. Arrange the vegetables on a large platter. Start with sliced cucumbers in a half-circle. Then, layer carrots, yellow and red peppers, and broccoli florets in smaller half-circles. Finish with snap peas at the bottom.
  4. Place your favorite dip in a small bowl on the platter. Position the prepared red bell pepper turkey face in the bowl of dip.

Notes

This veggie tray can be prepared ahead of time. Store the prepared vegetables and the turkey face components separately in the refrigerator. Assemble just before serving.
