- Preheat your oven to 375F and position your oven rack in the middle of the oven. If the rack is too high, your tacos may get too brown.
- Cook your meat or beans with taco seasoning in a skillet over medium heat. When cooked, turn off the heat and set the filling aside.
- Line up 12 to 14 hard taco shells in an oven-safe baking dish. Stand the shells up so they are easier to fill. Fill the shells with the cooked meat and top with cheese.
- Place the taco platter in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, the taco shells should be crispy. Remove the platter from the oven.
- Stuff your tacos assembly line style with the remaining ingredients: add shredded lettuce, salsa, guacamole, more cheese, and sour cream. Take the platter to the table and distribute the hot tacos for everyone to enjoy.
